Table Tennis Talent Development Program (TDP)

Coach Wang currently is a Team USA National Coach, 

recently honored as the 2018 USATT Developmental Coach of the Year

Coach Wang's TDP coaching team is composed of a group of dedicated coaches and trainers 

from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas.

Sunday Team Training


 HWGF’s Talent Development Program is dedicated to advancing the lives of girls and boys through the Olympic Sport of table tennis and to developing the best table tennis talents in the United States.

Children in this program learn the skills & values of focus, hard work, problem-solving, perseverance, positive attitude, teamwork, self-confidence and commitment to excellence that will help them achieve future successes in life.

Tryout & Application Process

  • Submission of Application
  • TRYOUT DATE: Sunday, September 8 at 5:30 PM (approx. 60 minutes)
  • TRYOUT LOCATION: Maryland Table Tennis Center,
  • A Coach's recommendation letter is required

TDP Team (Saturdays & Sundays)

  • Training on Saturdays & Sundays, run by MDTTC. Please visit for details.  
  • Team Uniforms provided
  • Progress logs kept for each student
  • Progress reports shared during coach/student/parent conferences
  • On table & off table weekly assignments
  • Family dinners and award ceremonies
